Why We Love Staffies

Despite their strong, muscular build, Staffordshire Bull Terriers are total softies at heart! They are famous for their deep devotion to their families and their love of human companionship. In fact, they often think they’re lap dogs and will happily snuggle up with you given the chance!

Known as the “nanny dog”, Staffies are incredibly gentle and patient, making them great family pets when properly trained and socialised. Their playful and goofy personalities bring endless joy, and they form strong bonds with their owners.

Staffies thrive in active homes where they can get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and love. They enjoy walks, games, and playtime, and they’re known for their cheeky sense of humor!

Reality: Staffies are loving and people-friendly dogs! Any breed can develop behavioural issues without the right training, but Staffies are naturally affectionate and eager to please.

Reality: Staffies are intelligent and highly trainable! First-time owners who are committed to training and exercise will find them to be fantastic companions.

“They are not good with kids.”

Reality: Staffies are often called nanny dogs because of their gentle and affectionate nature with children. Like all dogs, they should be properly introduced and supervised, but they are naturally loving and protective.
