FOR ADOPTION – MINIMAX AKA “MAX”

Please read all the advert before applying and please don’t comment on individual photos as this starts another post .

Approx 12 Weeks Old – Miniature Yorkie-Poo – Our Little Oxymoron

You have to see him to believe him.

Meet Minimax – or Max for short. Our little oxymoron, because he is MINImum size but MAXimum personality.

This tiny Yorkie-Poo boy came into rescue a few weeks ago needing a little extra TLC. He was handed over at midnight and volunteers made an early morning emergency run to the vets , where it was thought he wouldn’t last the few hours till morning. He fought and beat all the odds and having spent a few days in ICU he was allowed to go to a foster home . We have been quietly building up his strength behind the scenes, and now he is fighting fit, full of beans, and finally ready to find his forever home.

At approx 12 weeks old, tiny little Max is having the best time at life. He just doesn’t look real – like a little teddy bear come to life, but saying this he needs to be treated like a dog and not someone’s accessory.

About Max:

Max is a lovely little soul with a larger-than-life character.

• Crate trained & sleeps well – Sleeps beautifully from 10pm until 6:30/7:30am

• Toilet training is still a work in progress but he’s doing very well – He is using his astroturf outside brilliantly, but will have the odd accident if we are not on top of it – totally normal for his age

• Loves food! – Very food motivated which makes training a dream

• Extremely affectionate – Wants to be with you, on you, cuddled into you. A proper little velcro dog

• Fighting fit and ready – Full of fun now he has his strength back

Max is extremely fragile due to his tiny size. He is a true miniature and will need very careful handling and has only just reached 1 kg in weight.

His perfect home would be :

Because Max is so tiny and delicate, we are recommending no children under 10. He needs a calm, adult home where someone is around most of the time to continue with his training, toilet routine and socialisation.

Max would really benefit from another dog – ideally another similar small breed type. He has grown particularly fond of the resident Frenchie, who has had to learn to play on his side very gently! Watching them together is just precious. Another gentle, small dog would be perfect to show him the ropes and keep him company.

If you can offer tiny Max a safe, calm, loving forever home where he can be treasured for the next 15+ years, please apply.

He is one in a million.

Currently based in West Yorkshire.
